Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro running Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and HyperOS have been Released: price and specs

On Thursday, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro were introduced at the company's launch event in China. The new smartphones have Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and run Xiaomi's HyperOS, a successor for the company's MIUI interface. The Xiaomi 14 series phones include LTPO OLED panels with up to 2K resolution and a dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz. They have a Leica-tuned triple rear camera configuration. Both phones come with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Both the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro feature an IP68 water and dust resistant rating.


Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 pricing

The Xiaomi 14 Pro begins at CNY 4,999 (about Rs. 56,500) for the 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage option. The 16GB + 512GB model costs CNY 5,499 (approximately Rs. 62,000), the 16GB + 1TB model costs CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 68,200), and the 16GB + 1TB model costs CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs. 74,000).

 

The Xiaomi 14 costs CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 50,000) for the 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage edition, and CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs. 48,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The 16GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 4,599 (about Rs. 52,000) while the 16GB + 1TB model costs CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 56,000).


Both smartphones are presently available for pre-order in Classic Black, Rock Blue, Snow Mountain Pink, and White (translated from Chinese).

 

The business is yet to release details on the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series in India. To recall, the Xiaomi 13 Pro (Review) was priced at Rs. 79,999 for the single 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage option. The Xiaomi 13 was released in February for EUR 999 (about Rs. 87,600), however it was never released in India.


Specs for the Xiaomi 14 Pro

The dual SIM (Nano) Xiaomi 14 Pro runs on the company's new HyperOS interface and has a 6.73-inch 2.5D LTPO display with a 2K resolution (1,440x3,200 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is powered by the brand-new 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which was revealed only last week. The new series is the first phone to employ Qualcomm's new processor, which represents a major advance over the Xiaomi 13, which used a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage onboard.



The Xiaomi 14 Pro sports a Leica-branded triple back camera array with a Summilux lens. A 50-megapixel Hunter 900 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an f//1.6 aperture, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens form the camera configuration. A 32-megapixel front camera is available for selfies and video chats.


The Xiaomi 14 Pro has 5G, Wi-Fi 7, a USB 3.2 port, Bluetooth, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NavIC, and a USB Type-C connector for connectivity. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, linear motor, IR blaster, flicker sensor, and color sensor are among the sensors on board. In addition, the phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor and enables face unlock. It also has an X-axis linear vibration motor for gaming. The phone also has dual speakers that enable Dolby Atmos. Both variants in the new series are dust and water resistant to IP68 standards.


The Xiaomi 14 Pro has a 4,880mAh battery that supports 120W charging and 50W wireless charging. In addition, the device enables 10W wireless reverse charging. The handset has dimensions of 161.4x75.3x8.49mm and weighs 223g.

Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro have the same SIM and software characteristics. The vanilla variant, on the other hand, comes with a 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED (1,200x2,600 pixel) display with 1.5K resolution, 460ppi pixel density, and an adjustable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screen has a max brightness of 3000 nits and complete DC dimming. It also has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.



The regular Xiaomi 14 model also has a 50-megapixel triple back camera array, a 32-megapixel front camera, and an IP68 rating. Sensors and connectivity choices are comparable as the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

 

Xiaomi has outfitted the standard Xiaomi 14 with a 4,610mAh battery that supports 90W cable charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging. It weighs 193g and measures 152.8x71.5x8.20mm.
