Weight and Dimensions of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Have Leaked Ahead of the 'Wonderlust' Launch Event

Details on the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max have been released in a fresh report, just days before the company's 'Wonderlust' launch event in September. Several facts about Apple's impending iPhone 15 series of smartphones have leaked online in recent months, including color possibilities for the normal and Pro versions, as well as internal specs. The weight and dimensions of the next iPhone 15 series have now been published, allowing us to get a sense of what to anticipate from the company's future devices.

According to MacRumors, citing anonymous sources, the iPhone 15 will dimension 147.6x71.6x7.8mm and weigh 171g. These dimensions are virtually equal to the iPhone 14, which measured 146.7x71.5x7.8mm and weighed 172g – the forthcoming generation is likely to weigh one gram less. According to the rumor, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would employ the same 6013 T6 aluminum alloy for the chassis as the 2022 model. 

The weight difference between the Pro versions, on the other hand, may be more pronounced. The iPhone 15 Pro will be 146.6x70.6x8.25mm and weigh 188g, according to the rumor; last year's iPhone 14 Pro was 147.5x71.5x7.85mm and weighed 206g. While the new model seems to be thicker, it is reported to be 8.73 percent lighter.

Similarly, last year's iPhone 14 Pro Max measured 160.7x77.6x7.85mm and weighed 240g, but its replacement is said to weigh 221g and measure 159.9x76.7x8.25mm. This implies that Apple's top-tier model will be 7.91% lighter than the Pro Max model introduced at Apple's 'Far Out' presentation in September 2022.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to have a titanium frame rather than the stainless steel used on last year's phones. As a consequence, this year's cellphones should be lighter and more durable. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are believed to use the same aluminum chassis, implying that the weight of these handsets would not alter significantly.

Due to the rumored move to a titanium chassis, it was expected last month that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will weigh 191g and 221g, respectively. While the weight decrease is minor, and the Pro variations will still be heavier than the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, the lighter chassis may be enough to balance the weight of a protective cover for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.
