The OnePlus 12R is expected to include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a 5,500mAh battery when it launches early next year

The OnePlus 11R 5G with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC debuted in India in February of this year. The OnePlus 12R is apparently in the works as a possible successor to the smartphone. The OnePlus 12R's debut date has yet to be officially announced by the Shenzhen-based business, but its details have leaked online ahead of time. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is expected to power the next device. It is said to include a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging capabilities. The OnePlus 12R is set to become available early next year.

On X (previously Twitter), reliable tipper Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) indicated the OnePlus 12R's debut date and specs. He stated that the device will be available in early 2024. It will reportedly launch as a renamed version of the OnePlus Ace 3. The OnePlus 11R 5G launched in China as the OnePlus Ace 2.

According to the leak, the OnePlus 12R would run Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 and have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC might power it. The device is said to come with a triple back camera arrangement that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera. A 16-megapixel front camera might be available for selfies and video conversations.

According to reports, the OnePlus 12R will have an alert slider and dual speakers. According to Brar, it would be powered by a 5,500mAh battery with 100W rapid charging capabilities. These are consistent with previous disclosures.

The OnePlus 12R is expected to supersede the OnePlus 11R 5G, which was released in India in February and cost Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB + 256GB storage model and Rs. 44,999 for the 16GB + 256GB storage option.

The current OnePlus 11R 5G features a 6.74-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive dynamic refresh rate. It boasts a 50-megapixel triple rear camera array and runs on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 100W SuperVOOC rapid charging.
