Vivo Y36 and Vivo Y02t Prices Drop in India Months After Launch

In June of this year, the Vivo Y36 was released in India with a single RAM and storage option. At the time of its introduction, the smartphone was priced in the nation at Rs. 16,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y02t, which has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, was released in May 2023. Vivo has announced a price cut for the two smartphones months after they were released. The Vivo Y36 is powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC, whilst the Vivo Y02T is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. 

Vivo has announced a Rs. 1,000 price decrease on the Vivo Y36 in a post on X (previously Twitter). The smartphone, which was originally priced at Rs. 16,999, is now available at Rs. 15,999 for the only 8GB RAM and 128GB storage combo. In addition, Vivo is providing an extra Rs. 1,000 discount on credit card EMI transactions made with specified bank cards from ICICI Bank, SBI Bank, OneCard, IDFC Bank, Federal Bank, Yes Bank, Bank of Baroda, and IndusInd Bank. This results in an effective price of Rs. 14,999. However, the extra discount is only available until September 30.

The Vivo Y02t, on the other hand, has gotten a Rs. 500 price cut, bringing it down to Rs. 9,499 from Rs. 9,999 at launch for the single 4GB RAM and 128GB storage option. However, no further bank incentives are available when purchasing this smartphone. 

Both the Vivo Y36 and the Vivo Y02t are available for purchase on the Amazon India website as well as Vivo's online shop. The devices, as previously stated, run Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 and have a 5,000mAh battery. 

The Vivo Y36 has a 6.64-inch full-HD+ LCD display and is powered by an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 680 SoC. It has a dual back camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter for optics. The Vivo Y02t, on the other hand, has a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD display with a single 8-megapixel back camera as well as a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
