Timeline for OxygenOS 14 Open Beta Rollout, Confirmation of Android 14-Compatible OnePlus Phones: More Details

OxygenOS 14 will be released internationally on September 25, and an open beta testing program for these upgrades will be accessible for chosen handsets the following month. Furthermore, OnePlus 11 customers in India and North America may now get OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1, while OnePlus Nord 2T owners with the Indian model of the device can apply for OxygenOS 14 private beta testing. The company has now outlined a timetable for releasing open beta upgrades to its other devices.

OnePlus stated in a forum post that the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta functionality will be available to OnePlus Pad, OnePlus Nord 3 5G, OnePlus 11R 5G, OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, and OnePlus 10T 5G customers in October. The beta will be available to OnePlus 10R 5G, OnePlus 9 Pro 5G, OnePlus 9 5G, OnePlus 9R 5G, OnePlus 9RT 5G, OnePlus 8T 5G, OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G, OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, OnePlus Nord N30 5G, OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite customers in the following month.

Users of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are notable outliers to the upgrade. Users of the OnePlus Nord 2, Nord CE, and Nord CE 2 are also not eligible for the upgrade. OnePlus has assured, however, that the Nord N20 SE will receive the stable version of OxygenOS 14 right away.

OxygenOS 14 Beta is supposed to provide enhanced picture and video-related rights management functions with safer application access. It is also anticipated to improve system stability, app startup speed, and the smoothness of animations on screen. 

The OxygenOS 14 beta is said to improve the skin's 'Aquamorphic Design' for a more calming color experience by using a natural, soft, and clearer color approach. The update also features new Aquamorphic-themed ringtones in addition to updating the system notification sounds. According to the startup, it also includes a carbon tracking AOD that indicates how much fewer carbon emissions people make when they opt to walk rather than drive.
