On Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) stated that Oppo would soon launch a battery replacement effort that will give free battery replacements for four years. The forthcoming Oppo A2 Pro 5G will be the first device to profit from this scheme, according to the source.

Another well-known tipper, Whylab (translated from Chinese), confirms this story, stating that if the battery health percentage falls below 80% within four years, Oppo would replace the battery as part of the after-sales service. According to him, the policy would be unveiled alongside the Oppo A2 Pro 5G.

The Oppo A2 Pro 5G has been circulating for quite some time. The smartphone has previously surfaced on China Telecom's website and TENAA listing, implying a September 15 launch date.

The Oppo A2 Pro 5G is expected to include a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is believed to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and to come in RAM and storage configurations of 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB.
