In April of this year, Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC launched in India. Asus appears to be transferring its attention to the next phone in the range, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate. While its release date is unknown, the next ROG series smartphone appears to have appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site. The rumored Asus ROG Phone 8 Ultimate is said to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and 16GB RAM. The listing indicates that the handset will run the Android 14 operating system.

The model number ASUS_AI2401_A of an Asus handset has been discovered on the Geekbench website. The September 26 listing is likely to be for the Asus ROG Phone 8 Ultimate, hinting that it would come with Android 14. The listing displays a score of 2,213 in single-core testing and a score of 7,048 in multi-core testing. According to the description, the phone might have 15.06GB of RAM, which translates to 16GB on paper.

Furthermore, an octa-core Pineapple chipset with a base frequency of 2.26GHz would power the phone, according to the description. It indicates a primary CPU core with a maximum clock speed of 3.19GHz, five cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.96GHz, and two cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.27GHz. These CPU speeds and codename might be related with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
