The Honour Magic V2 will be introduced on July 12. The Shenzen-based business made the news on Thursday at the Mobile World Congress 2023 in Shanghai. The phone was initially expected to ship with two SoC options. The Honour Magic V, which was introduced in January 2022, is projected to be replaced by the book-style foldable smartphone. The previous foldable features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and a 4,750mAh battery with 66W Honour SuperCharge capability.
Honour CEO George Zhao said during the Mobile World Congress 2023 keynote presentation in Shanghai on Thursday that the Honour Magic V2 would be released in China on July 12, according to GSMArena. Zhao promises that the model would "revolutionise the foldable experience."
The Honour Magic Vs will be available in November 2022. In comparison to the Magic V model, the smartphone had a significantly lighter shell and a revised hinge. As a result, the Magic V2 is expected to provide a better and enhanced experience.
The forthcoming foldable smartphone is expected to come in two CPU configurations. The Honour Magic V2 may be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G SoC.
The Honour Magic variant will most likely include a 108-megapixel main back camera sensor. The phone's display is likely to have an LTPO AMOLED panel, an upgrade over the previous handset's OLED panel. The new smartphone's screen is also expected to have a refresh rate of 90Hz or higher, as well as a greater PWM dimming frequency than the predecessor.
The Honour Magic V2 is said to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and to enable 66W wired fast charging. The prior leak, which also stated that the Honour X50 model will be released on July 12, suggested that the business is also planning to release the Honour X50 model.
During its initial debut, the Honour Magic V 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model was priced at CNY 9,999 (about Rs. 1,16,000), while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant was priced at CNY 10,999 (approximately Rs. 1,27,600). The phone was available in three colours: black, burnt orange, and space silver.
