OnePlus Open is on sale for the first time today in India: price, specs, and launch offers

The OnePlus Open, the Chinese smartphone maker's first foldable phone, will be on sale in India for the first time today. It was released last week in India and global markets, and it shares the same hardware characteristics as the Oppo Find N3. The foldable sports an inside 7.82-inch AMOLED display and an outward 6.31-inch screen. One of the three Hasselblad-branded rear cameras features a Sony LYTIA-T808 "Pixel Stacked" CMOS sensor from the next generation. Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor powers the OnePlus Open.


OnePlus Open pricing and availability in India

The OnePlus Open costs Rs. 1,39,999 in India, and it comes in a single version with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone is available in Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black colors and will go on sale in India on Friday.

 

The OnePlus Open is available for purchase through the company's website, Amazon, and retail locations. The firm has announced a Rs. 5,000 launch discount via ICICI Bank and OneCard Instant Bank transactions. According to the firm, buyers may also get a Rs. 8,000 trade-in incentive on some devices.


OnePlus Open specs

The OnePlus Open comes with a 7.82-inch (2,268x2,440 pixels) 2K Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate and runs OxygenOS 13.2 based on Android 13. It features a 6.31-inch (1,116x2,484-pixel) 2K LTPO 3.0 Super Fluid AMOLED outer display with a dynamic refresh rate of 10-120Hz.

 

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU from Qualcomm drives the OnePlus Open, together with an Adreno 740 GPU and 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. According to the business, users may also use unused storage on the device to upgrade the RAM in increments of 4GB, 8GB, and 12GB.


The Hasselblad-branded triple camera arrangement on the OnePlus Open consists of a 48-megapixel main camera with a Sony LYT-T808 "Pixel Stacked" CMOS sensor, a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with an OmniVision OV64B sensor, and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX581 sensor. It sports a 20-megapixel camera on the inner display for selfies and video calls, and a 32-megapixel sensor on the cover display.


The OnePlus Open comes with 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It boasts a USB Type-C connection and supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. An accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, sensor core, e-compass, flick-detect sensor, and an under-screen ambient light sensor are among the sensors on board.

 

The OnePlus Open has a dual-cell 4,800mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging capabilities. This foldable phone, like previous OnePlus devices, features the company's tri-state alert slider. There's also a fingerprint scanner on the side. Unfolded, it measures 153.4x143.15.9mm and weighs up to 245g.
