Huawei Nova 12 Series Specs Leaked; Could Include Kirin Chipsets and Triple Rear Cameras

In April of this year, Huawei debuted the Nova 11 series in China, coupled with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G SoC. As the rumored successor to the Nova 11 series, the Huawei Nova 12 range is now in the works. While the Huawei Nova 12 and Huawei Nova 12 Pro have yet to be formally unveiled, important features have leaked on Weibo, China's microblogging website. Both versions are expected to have 120Hz refresh rate screens shielded by Huawei's Kunlun glass. They are said to be powered by the company's Kirin CPUs and to include a 60-megapixel selfie camera.

Moorish Sky (translated from Chinese) provided crucial Huawei Nova 12 and Huawei Nova 12 Pro specs on Weibo. According to the source, both versions will have 120Hz refresh rate screens and Huawei's Kunlun glass for drop protection. According to reports, the Kirin 9000S platform powers the Pro model. This is the same mobile processor that drives the Huawei Mate 60. The unannounced Kirin 830 SoC might power the standard Huawei Nova 12.

Both the Huawei Nova 12 and Huawei Nova 12 Pro are expected to include a triple back camera arrangement. The standard model's camera system might have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel shooter. The camera unit on the Huawei Nova 12 Pro is said to have two 50-megapixel sensors and one 12-megapixel sensor.

Both phones are expected to include a front-facing camera with a resolution of 60 megapixels. Furthermore, both smartphones may include satellite messaging capabilities that allow users to send and receive messages through satellite connectivity.

The Huawei Nova 12 is expected to ship with a 4,800mAh battery and 88W fast charging, while the Pro variant may ship with a 4,900mAh battery and 100W fast charging.

The Huawei Nova 12 series may replace the Huawei Nova 11 series, which debuted earlier this year in China – the firm has not stated when these phones would be available. The Huawei Nova 11 starts at CNY 2,499 (about Rs. 29,800), while the Huawei Nova 11 Pro starts at CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs. 41,800).
