The Honor Play 8T might be available in China this week. There has been no official announcement from the Chinese tech company on the handset's release date, but a purported official poster has suddenly appeared online, revealing the smartphone's debut date, design, and a few characteristics. The Honor Play 8T appears to have a hole punch display. It is expected to include a dual back camera setup headlined by a 50-megapixel main camera, as well as a 6,000mAh battery.
According to a Weibo user, the Honor Play 8T will be on sale in China on October 18. According to the graphic, the phone would have a display with a hole punch cutout for the front camera and a dual back camera unit. The ad also provides a few phone specs.
According to the ad, the phone would have a 6,000mAh battery. It may also include a 50-megapixel main back camera. The Honor Play 8T may come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone's display is capable of up to 850 nits of peak brightness.
The Honor Play 8T looks to be a renamed Honor Play 50 Plus model. The latter was unveiled earlier this month in China for CNY 1,399 (about Rs. 15,000). Honor has not yet published any details on the phone's specifications or release date, even on its official Weibo channel.
The Honor Play 8T might be the Honor Play 7T's replacement. It went on sale in March at CNY 1,099 (about Rs. 13,100) for the basic edition with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Honor Play 7T features a 6.74-inch TFT LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. It boasts a dual back camera system that includes a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The handset has a 5-megapixel front camera for photos and video calls. It has a 6,000mAh battery and supports 22.5W wired charging.
