ChatGPT debuted last year and quickly became the most popular AI chatbot in the world. Now, Stellantis-owned DS Automobiles has achieved a new milestone in the realm of artificial intelligence by incorporating ChatGPT into their automobiles. DS Automobiles is the first automaker to incorporate AI chatbot commands into automobiles. Stellantis announced the achievement in a press release, along with the prerequisites for using the function. The ChatGPT will initially be available to the first 20,000 registered users.
Stallantis disclosed in an official release that DS Automobiles has integrated the ChatGPT AI chatbot into their automobiles, allowing consumers to obtain accurate and quick replies. The AI chatbot functions similarly to Alexa or Siri in automobiles. For the first six months, the business will conduct a test phase in which it will grant access to 20,000 registered users.
These customers should be driving DS 3, DS 4, DS 7, or DS 9 vehicles equipped with an active DS IRIS system. To use the function and communicate with the DS IRIS system, simply say "OK IRIS" while pushing the unique button on the steering wheel.
ChatGPT integration with DS IRIS SYSTEM will be free for the first 20,000 registered customers for six months if they purchase one of the above-mentioned vehicles between October 19 and February 29. Users can activate the system by contacting the DS Services Store. The integration will be offered only in European regions during the pilot period, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy. The functionality will be available in all of these nations' native languages.
To recap, the ChatGPT AI chatbot first appeared in November of last year. It is now accessible via mobile applications as well as web versions.
