Display Specs and Color Options for the Xiaomi 14 Teased Ahead of October 26th Release

On October 26, Xiaomi will unveil the Xiaomi 14 series. Just one day before the official debut, the Chinese tech company launched a series of teasers that revealed the design and important characteristics of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. The Xiaomi 14 will have a 6.36-inch screen with thin bezels. On the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, Xiaomi has also published camera samples of the future phone. Both versions are said to include Leica-tuned back cameras and will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Xiaomi has verified the Xiaomi 14's display characteristics on Weibo. It will include a 6.36-inch Huaxing C8 LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 460ppi pixel density, and an adjustable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screen has a max brightness of 3000 nits and complete DC dimming. This confirms a leak from last week.

 

The Xiaomi 14 will be available in Classic Black, Rock Blue, and Snow Mountain Pink (translation from Chinese). Xiaomi has also shown several camera samples for the future device. The samples demonstrate Leica branded cameras' camera advances. It is expected to include a 75mm telephoto lens.

The introduction of the Xiaomi 14 series will take place in China at 19:00pm (4:30pm IST). The HyperOS operating system will debut with the series, which will be powered by the recently introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

 

According to previous rumors, the Xiaomi 14 would ship with a 4,600mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is rumored to include a 4,860mAh battery, 120W wired fast charging compatibility, and 50W wireless charging support.
