The Vivo X90 series debuted in November of last year as Vivo's flagship photography-focused devices. The Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro are now scheduled to make their debut as the latest generation in the X-series. A Chinese leaker has revealed the camera specifications of the Vivo X100 series ahead of the official launch. The standard Vivo X100's rear camera configuration is expected to have a Sony IMX920 primary sensor, while the Pro variant is said to include a 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary sensor. Both variants are said to be powered by MediaTek's forthcoming Dimensity 9300 processor and the most recent LPDDR5T RAM technology.
The camera specifications of the rumored Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro were released on Weibo by tipster Digital Chat Station (via Gizmochina). According to the leak, the Vivo X100 will include a Sony IMX920 main sensor, a Samsung JN1 lens for ultra-wide pictures, and an OmniVision OV64B telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The Vivo X100 Pro may use the same ultra-wide lens and telephoto camera as the Vivo X100. It is, however, claimed to include a 1-inch Sony IMX989 camera sensor as the primary snapper and a telephoto shooter with 4.3x optical zoom.
The Vivo X100 series is said to be the world's first smartphone powered by Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo (LPDDR5T). The LPDDR5T DRAM is said to be 13% quicker than the LPDDR5X DRAM used in most current flagships. Both the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro are said to be powered by MediaTek's forthcoming flagship SoC, the Dimensity 9300, and to include UFS 4.0 storage. The Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to be powered by the recently released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The Vivo X90 series, which includes the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+, debuted in the Chinese market in November of last year. The latter was only available in China, while the others appeared in India in April of this year. The Vivo X90 Pro costs Rs. 84,999 for the single 12GB RAM +256GB storage edition, while the Vivo X90 costs Rs. 59,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Vivo just reduced the Pro model's pricing by Rs. 10,000.
