Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 13T featuring MediaTek SoCs, and Leica Tuned Cameras Announced: Price, Specs

On Tuesday (September 26), the firm presented the Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro at its worldwide launch event in Berlin. The new smartphones have 6.67-inch OLED displays with up to 144Hz refresh rates and 50-megapixel triple rear cameras calibrated by Leica. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC powers the Xiaomi 13T Pro, while the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra SoC powers the standard variant. They run on 5,000mAh batteries. Both models will receive four major Android upgrades as well as security fixes for the next five years. The Xiaomi 13T series looks remarkably comparable to the Redmi K60 Ultra but has some camera enhancements and IP68 water and dust resistant certification.

In Europe, the Xiaomi 13T Pro begins at EUR 649 (approximately Rs. 28,500) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The pricing of the 12GB + 512GB model rises to EUR 699 (about Rs. 32,000). The Xiaomi 13T begins at EUR 549 (about Rs. 22,000) for the 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage configuration.

Both smartphones are available in Alpine Blue, Black, and Meadow Green. The latest Xiaomi smartphones are now available for pre-order in the United Kingdom. 

Specs for the Xiaomi 13T Pro

The Xiaomi 13T Pro dual SIM (Nano) smartphone runs MIUI 14 on Android 13 and has a 6.67-inch 1.5K resolution (1,220x2,712 pixel) display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and 2880Hz PWM dimming. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the screen as well. The latest flagship device will receive four major Android version upgrades as well as five years of over-the-air (OTA) security patches. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It is available in RAM and storage options of 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. There is also a 20-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video chats.

The Xiaomi 13T Pro has 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou NavIC, and a USB Type-C connector for connectivity. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, linear motor, IR blaster, flicker sensor, and color sensor are among the sensors on board. In addition, the phone has an in-screen fingerprint sensor and an AI face unlock capability. It also has an X-axis linear vibration motor for gaming. The phone also has twin speakers that enable Dolby Atmos. Both variants in the new series are dust and water resistant to IP68 standards.

The Xiaomi 13T Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W rapid charging. The battery has a capacity of 17 hours of video playback on a single charge. Furthermore, the quick charging technology claims to charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 24 minutes in regular mode and 19 minutes in Boost mode. It has dimensions of 162.2x75.7x8.49mm and weighs around 200 grams.

The Xiaomi 13T runs the same OS as the Xiaomi 13T Pro and has the same display. The vanilla variant, on the other hand, is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3 storage. It comes in storage variants of 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB.

The Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T share features such as 50-megapixel triple back cameras, a 20-megapixel selfie sensor, and an IP68 construction.

The Xiaomi 13T features the same 5,000mAh battery as the Xiaomi 13S, as well as support for 67W Turbo charging. This quick charge technique claims to charge the battery from zero to 100 percent in 42 minutes. The device is reported to be capable of up to 16 hours of movie playback on a single charge. It measures around 162.2 x 75.7 x 8.49mm and weighs approximately 193 grams.
