The Sony Xperia 1 VI is purportedly in the works. The company's next "One" series smartphone is expected to be released early next year. While the business has yet to release specifics about its forthcoming phone, a few features and a launch date have leaked online. The phone is likely to be the successor of Sony's Xperia 1 V, which was released earlier this year in May. The Sony Xperia 1 V has a 6.5-inch OLED display with 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR compatibility and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

In a recent Reddit post, a user speculated that the Japanese phone manufacturer may introduce its next One smartphone at MWC 2024 early next year. According to reports, the smartphone would compete with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and the Xiaomi 14 Pro. Furthermore, the report implies that the rumored device may include a new bigger telephoto sensor with a 6x zoom camera. It will almost certainly have Sony's Clear Image Zoom features.

Furthermore, the rumored Sony Xperia 1 VI is said to arrive in environmentally friendly packaging made of recyclable materials. Sony, on the other hand, has not divulged anything about the future smartphone.

The Sony Xperia 1 VI will replace the Xperia 1 V. The latter debuted with a 6.5-inch OLED display that supports 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powers the phone. The device has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Sony Xperia 1 V has a triple back camera array that includes a 52-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.3.5" sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and Hybrid OIS/EIS capability. There's also a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3.5-5x optical zoom and 15.6X hybrid zoom. The phone has a 12-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It has a 5,000mAh battery and 30W (USB PD) rapid charging.
