The top-of-the-line smartphone in the iPhone 15 series, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, has placed second in DxOMark's photography test. On September 12, the phone debuted with the standard iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro during Apple's Wonderlust event. There are several categories among the various sub-sections that the handset was marked on, including photo, video, zoom, preview, and bouquet features.

The 15 Pro Max received 154 points in the DxOMark test, ranking second only to the Huawei P60 Pro, which received 156 points. When viewed on an HDR-enabled display, images taken with the iPhone 15 Pro Max have good brightness and contrast.

According to the results of the test, the iPhone 15 Pro Max cameras provide almost-perfect exposure, natural color and skin tone depiction, and fast and precise focusing. The phone is also claimed to have video stabilisation capabilities.

According to DxOMark, the new zoom functions of the flagship iPhone 15 model were successful in general but lacked consistency "across all ranges." It went on to say that the phone failed to reduce "unwanted artifacts, such as flare, ghosting, and aliasing," as well as disruptions in low-light images.

The previous iPhone 14 Pro Max ranked seventh on the scale. The newly released handset has a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope camera with up to 5x optical zoom.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max's triple rear camera has a 48-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens and OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with a periscope lens. The front-facing camera features a 12-megapixel TrueDepth sensor.

The Huawei P60 Pro, which has a 48-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and another 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, outperforms the iPhone 15 Pro Max. An LED flash and a 13-megapixel front camera sensor accompany the rear camera modules.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max has Apple's Ceramic Shield material and a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. The A17 Pro chipset powers it, and it has an IP68 designation for dust and water protection. The phone, like the previous iPhone 14 Pro Max, promises to have a battery life of up to 29 hours. In India, the basic 256GB storage option costs Rs. 1,59,900.
