At its 'Wonderlust' launch event on Tuesday, Apple introduced a revamped version of its second-generation AirPods Pro truly wireless stereo (TWS) headphones. The updated model has a USB Type-C port, as opposed to the previous model, which came with a Lightning port in 2022. Apple notes that because the iPhone 15 series now has a contemporary USB port, the updated wireless headset may also be charged via the new iPhones.
Apple's TWS headset features the same H2 chip and improved Find My functionality as the company's second generation TWS earphones did last year, and the iPhone maker says the AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) will support lossless audio playback over a wireless connection with the Apple Vision Pro next year.

Specs and features of the AirPods Pro (2nd Generation).
The upgraded model, like the second generation AirPods Pro introduced at the company's 'Far Out' event last year, is powered by Apple's newest H2 processor, which supports Personalised Spatial Audio with user-customisable head tracking and Dolby Atmos compatibility. According to Apple, they also have the same pressure sensor for stem controls as well as the company's proprietary high-excursion speakers.
When linked to the company's first spatial computer, the Apple Vision Pro, the AirPods Pro 2 TWS earbuds will allow 20-bit, 48 kHz lossless music playback (in addition to the AAC codec). The charging case also has an U1 chip for easy tracking of the earphones, as well as a small speaker for playing a sound to indicate their position.
The AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) model with a USB Type-C port shares the same specifications as the previous year's model, including the same battery life of up to 30 hours, active noise cancellation (ANC) and Adaptive Transparency modes, and skin detection to pause music playback when the earphones are removed by the wearer. According to Apple, each earbud has the same IP54 dust and water resistant rating as the previous iteration.
