According to a source, Apple is working on an iPhone "Ultra" model that will have capability for capturing specialized films and photos for usage on the Apple Vision Pro, the company's first spatial computer. The Cupertino business is rumored to be working on a device that will be released when the Vision Pro is released next year. Apple promised earlier this year that its first wearable mixed reality headset will have "incredible depth," and the gadget employs cameras mounted on the exterior body to record a user's surroundings.

According to a MacRumors rumor quoting an unidentified Weibo user, an iPhone "Ultra" model is in the works and will "lead the market to rethink what kind of photos and videos a mobile phone should take." While the article does not specify the camera arrangement of the rumored device, it claims that the phone might be used to take detailed, immersive films and photographs that could be utilized on Apple's first spatial computer, the Apple Vision Pro.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman stated in his weekly Power On email back in February that Apple was planned to unveil a new iPhone model in 2024 that would be an even more sophisticated version of the company's flagship iPhone series, which was anticipated to come later that year. Since then, Apple has announced a September 12 launch event, but there has been no news from the corporation on how many models will emerge next week.

Apple revealed the Vision Pro headset in June at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), but the item will not be accessible to customers until early 2024. Currently, developers may test their apps in simulators and development laboratories put up by the corporation in specified countries.

The company's first mixed reality headgear has high-resolution screens and Apple's proprietary EyeSight technology, which allows the wearer to stay aware of their surroundings. It supports both augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies and has a slew of sensors and cameras built into the chassis. According to the business, the headset will be able to employ these sensors to map the wearer's surroundings as well as finger-based gesture input. Apple hasn't said if the Vision Pro headset will be offered in various regions, including India.
