The iPhone 15 series is scheduled to be unveiled on September 12 during an event named 'Wonderlust' at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The event will be live-streamed on apple.com and the Apple TV app beginning at 10 a.m. local time. The iPhone 15 range will most likely include four models: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Ahead of the announcement, a report says that the iPhone 15 variants would be available in India on the same day or within a few days of their global release.

To encourage electronics manufacturing in India, the government has begun to offer a variety of incentives to mobile, laptop, and semiconductor makers. This not only adds to the country's GDP but also aids in the development of numerous employment in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.

According to an Economic Times story, the iPhone 15 variants that will be made under the Make in India plan may be available in the market around the same time as the devices' worldwide release. The units are claimed to be produced at Apple assembler Foxconn's Chennai plant.

According to the source, when Apple launched the iPhone 14 last year, made-in-India handsets went on sale within 10 days of the worldwide launch. This year, the business anticipates even less lag, and Apple will have the Chennai-based Foxconn production operation initially service the domestic Indian market before considering export.

Notably, the government has placed import limits on a variety of electronic devices, including laptops, tablets, and personal computers. The limitations were supposed to go into force immediately in the first week of August, but they have now been delayed by three months, and import permission for some electronic devices will be required beginning November 1.
