Formula One has confirmed the schedule for the 2024 season, which will include 24 races between March and December. The F1 season begins in Bahrain in the first week of March and concludes in Abu Dhabi in December, as is the case for the 2023 season. The Chinese Grand Prix returns to the schedule for the first time since 2019, however there are no new circuits added for 2024, as in previous years.
However, there are some calendar adjustments, including additional races on Saturday instead of the customary weekend schedules with the big event on Sunday. The first two races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will be held from Thursday to Saturday rather from Friday to Sunday, according to F1, in order to meet the timetables in those nations during Ramadan. On Saturday, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will also take place.

Regionalization of races to reduce the logistical load on Formula One teams
For 2024, there is a greater emphasis on regionalizing the schedule in order to alleviate the logistical load that Formula 1 teams now endure. Many events have been rescheduled from their usual calendar slots to be closer to other races in the same geographic regions. This will simplify the difficult work of moving equipment and employees, and it also aligns with F1's declared objective of making the sport more sustainable in terms of carbon emissions.
Some of these changes include the Japanese Grand Prix being moved to April to align with events in Australia and China, as well as the Azerbaijan Grand Prix being moved to September to coincide with the Singapore Grand Prix. The Qatar Grand Prix is presently the calendar's second-to-last event, occurring one week before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
There are still some oddities, such as the Miami Grand Prix sandwiched between the Asia and Europe legs, and Canada sandwiched between Monaco and Spain (both in Western Europe), but these events are separated by at least two weeks. Notably, the 2024 season will include the most races of any F1 season history, with 24 races scheduled in 21 nations.
