The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is scheduled to be released shortly. It is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Fan Edition model, and it is expected to replace the Galaxy S21 FE, which was introduced in January 2021 — the South Korean tech giant skipped the Galaxy S22 FE model. According to reports, Samsung may also relaunch the Galaxy S21 FE in India with a new processor. According to a fresh claim, a Geekbench listing for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE exposes several critical features of the rumoured phone.
According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S23 F3 variant was discovered on Geekbench on Thursday. According to the listing, the phone would be powered by an in-house octa-core Exynos 2200 SoC, the same processor seen in Galaxy S22 series phones. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC was utilised in all of the Galaxy S23 phones, including the standard Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
It is suspected that the company's decision to replace the Qualcomm chipset is just to clear stock of Exynos SoCs. Notably, the suspected move has already been reported, so it does not come as a complete surprise.
According to the Geekbench listing, the phone with the model number SM-S711B will ship with 8GB of RAM and will run Android 13 out of the box, with a One UI layer on top. Since it was discovered listed on the Safety Korea battery certification website, the phone has also been rumoured to have a 4,500mAh battery.
According to previous rumours, the Exynos chipset will be combined with an Xclipse 920 AMD GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. According to the same source, while select markets may see the Galaxy S23 FE model emerge as late as Q4 2023, the majority of territories are likely to have the model released by the third quarter of the year.
The phone is also expected to have a 6.4-inch flat display with a hole-punch slot in the centre for the front camera, which might include a 12-megapixel sensor. The body should have rounded edges. Its design is supposed to be similar to the Galaxy A54 5G variant, which was unveiled earlier this year.
The Fan Edition edition, like the rest of the Galaxy S23 series products, is likely to have a triple rear camera unit, which might comprise a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens.
