The iPhone 15 series is slated to launch later this year, and Apple's next-generation iPhone models are expected to offer a significant battery life boost, according to a report. The Cupertino corporation is expected to equip all four rumoured handsets in the series with bigger batteries, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It's worth remembering that Apple seldom discloses precise battery specs for current iPhone models.

According to a source, Apple's next-generation iPhone models will deliver a considerable battery life gain when they are released later this year. The Cupertino company is likely to equip all four speculated devices in the series, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with larger batteries. It's worth noting that Apple seldom provides exact battery stats for current iPhone models.

Meanwhile, the more costly iPhone 15 Pro will have a 3,650mAh battery, up from the 3,200mAh cell seen in the iPhone 14 Pro. The top-tier iPhone 15 Pro Max will allegedly have a 4,852mAh battery, which is larger than the 4,323mAh battery seen in the iPhone 14 Pro Max. This suggests that, in contrast to the company's current models, the iPhone 15 Plus might have a bigger battery than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Larger batteries aren't the only change coming to the iPhone 15 series later this year. Last month, it was rumoured that Apple will equip the whole series with 48-megapixel main camera sensors. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus had a 12-megapixel primary camera last year, while the iPhone 14 Pro series has a 48-megapixel main camera with second-generation sensor-shift OIS capabilities.

Images of a rumoured cover for the iPhone 15 Pro have just appeared online, displaying a huge cutout for the camera module as well as slight alterations to the handset's button arrangement. Apple is believed to ditch its omnipresent mute switch this year in favour of a mute button that can also double as an Action button, similar to the one featured on the Apple Watch Ultra. However, these reported facts and claims should be taken with a grain of salt because Apple has yet to reveal any specifics about the rumoured iPhone 15 series.
