iQoo 12 5G having Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will be released in India on December 12; specs are expected

The iQoo 12 series will be available internationally on November 7. According to reports, the lineup will comprise the iQoo 12 and the iQoo 12 Pro. So far, the business has disclosed a few critical elements about the future smartphones, such as the chipset and back panel design. The phone's camera specifications have also been revealed. Other specs have previously leaked and distributed widely in recent times. The iQoo 12 5G's India launch date has now been announced.


In a post on X, iQoo India CEO Nipun Marya stated that the iQoo 12 5G would be available in India on December 12. The iQoo 12 will replace the iQoo 11, which was announced in December 2022. The business has not yet announced the introduction of the Pro edition of the forthcoming iQoo 12 series in India.



The iQoo 12 is said to be powered by Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and will arrive with Android 14. It will reportedly have a 6.78-inch BOE OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K, a refresh rate of 144Hz, a peak brightness level of 3,000 nits, and a PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz.

 

The iQoo 12's alleged triple rear camera unit includes a 50-megapixel primary OmniVision OV50H sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel OV64B telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. The front camera will most likely include a 16-megapixel sensor.


The iQoo 12 5G will most likely have an IP64 dust and splash resistant rating. Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and Wi-Fi 7 connections are reported to be supported. A 4,880mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging capabilities might power the device.
