Honor Play 8T having MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC and 6,000mAh Battery Launched: Price and Specs

Honor Play 8T, the brand's latest cheap cellphone, has been released in China. The latest Honor Play series smartphone improves on the Honor Play 7T by running on a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Honor Play 8T features a dual rear camera system lead by a 50-megapixel main sensor, as well as a 6,000mAh battery with 35W fast charging capabilities. It comes in three colors and has a 6.8-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Price and availability of the Honor Play 8T

Honor Play 8T costs CNY 1,099 (about Rs. 12,500) for the basic 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option. The top-tier 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs CNY 1,299 (about Rs. 14,700). It is presently available in China through the Honor Mall shop in Fantasy Night Black, Ink Jade Green, and Streaming Silver (translated from Chinese) color choices.

The Honor Play 8T's availability in other regions, including India, is yet unknown.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor Play 8T runs Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 and has a 6.8-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,412 pixel) TFT LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, 850 nits of peak brightness, and a 20:09 aspect ratio. A hole punch cutout in the center of the screen houses the selfie camera. The new Play series smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, and a Mali-G57 GPU. By using underutilized storage, the built-in memory may be practically expanded to an extra 8GB.

The Honor Play 8T features a dual back camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor and an f/1.8 aperture lens, as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an f/2.4 aperture lens. The rear camera unit is capable of 1080p video recording and has a 10x digital zoom. Honor has included an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens for selfies and video chats.

The Honor Play 8T has an internal storage capacity of up to 256GB. The smartphone's connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 1, GPS, AGPS, OTG, Beidou, Glonass, and a USB Type-C connection. An ambient light sensor, compass, gravity sensor, and proximity light sensor are among the sensors aboard. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the side for authentication. The phone comes with stereo twin speakers and Hi-Res audio.

The Honor Play 8T has a 6,000mAh battery with 35W fast charging capabilities. It has dimensions of 166.7x76.5x8.24mm and weighs 199 grams.
