At its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 in June, Apple unveiled a slew of M2-powered gadgets, including a new 15-inch MacBook Air, a Mac Studio, and a Mac Pro. The business was previously said to be preparing to unveil a new iMac, a 13-inch MacBook Air, and a MacBook Pro this October, all powered by the M3 CPU. However, prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the 24-inch iMac revamp will not arrive this year.
In a post on X, TF Securities analyst Kuo anticipated that a 24-inch iMac update will debut next year. Furthermore, the expert predicted that a higher-end iMac with a 32-inch mini-LED display will emerge in 2025.

Apple, predictably, has not yet set a release date for its M3-powered Macs. Kuo's projection of an M3-powered iMac debuting in 2024 appears to be consistent with previous reports. Back in July, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman predicted a delay in the company's Mac lineup's M3 upgrade, speculating that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro and Mac Mini desktop improvements powered by the much-anticipated M3 CPU might be delayed until next year.
Specifically on iMac models, which have not been refreshed in more than two years since the company introduced the M1-powered 24-inch iMac in candy colors at its 'Spring Loaded' event in April 2021 — it was reported in March that the Cupertino, California-based tech giant was working on two new iMac models, codenamed J433 and J434. Gurman previously stated that the new iMac models were in the last stages of development and would not be available until the second half of 2023.
Kuo also said last month that M3-powered MacBook models would not be available before the end of the year.
Apple presently sells a 24-inch iMac variant with an M1 CPU in seven different colors. The iMac is 11.5mm thin and has a 4.5K retina display with a peak brightness of 500 nits. The desktop has six speakers as well as a 1080p web camera for video conversations.
