The Vivo X Flip, which is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, was released in China with the Vivo X Fold 2 in April of this year. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is allegedly exploring adding new clamshell foldable devices to its range. Two devices dubbed Vivo V Flip and Vivo S Flip have been seen on the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) website ahead of any official confirmation. The future handsets might compete directly with the Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, it is uncertain whether the foldables will even launch this year.

Vivo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has filed to the EUIPO for a trademark on the names Vivo S Flip and Vivo V Flip. As the titles suggest, the business is developing new clamshell folding cellphones. The applications, with filing numbers 018911298 (Vivo S Flip) and 018911204 (Vivo V Flip), were filed on August 8. There is currently no additional information available regarding the flip phones, and it is unknown if the devices will be known as the Vivo S Flip and Vivo V Flip when they become official.

Different media sites identified the trademarks, which Gadgets 360 independently validated. The Vivo S Flip and Vivo V Flip will compete directly with the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, Oppo Find N2 Flip, and the recently introduced Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G.

The Vivo X Flip debuted in April as the company's first effort at a clamshell foldable. It is presently available in China for a starting price of CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 71,600) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option.

The Vivo X Flip sports a 6.74-inch full HD+ (1,080x2,520) AMOLED inner display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Outside, it has a 3-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 682 x 422 pixels. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS3.1 internal storage. It boasts two back cameras, one with a 50-megapixel main lens and the other with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is located on the front of the device. It has a 4,400mAh battery with 44W rapid charging capabilities.
