Ethiopia has just released the Itel S23+. The latest smartphone from the firm features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED curved display. It is said to be powered by a Unisoc T616 chipset, with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The handset also uses the ROM to virtually extend the RAM up to 8GB. It has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W charging.
Itel has not yet revealed the price or availability of the Itel S23+. According to reports, the newly released will only be available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The handset ships with itelOS V13.0.0, which is based on Android 13. It is the first premium curved-screen smartphone from the firm.

The Itel S23+ has a 6.78-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 93 percent ultra-high screen-to-body ratio, according to Itel. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the display. According to an Addis Insight news release, the new smartphone is powered by a 12 nm Unisoc T616 SoC and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The Itel S23+ also supports virtual RAM technology, which lets users to increase RAM capacity by up to 8GB. It has up to 256GB of internal storage.
The Itel S23+ has a dual rear camera arrangement with an LED flash and a 50-megapixel sensor for images and movies. It has a 32-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. For authentication, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Itel S23+ comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging.
The device will join the Itel S23, which was revealed in India earlier this year. The latter features a Unisoc T606 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 6.6-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixel) IPS display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.
