The Pixel 8 Pro, the successor to last year's Pixel 7 Pro, will be released on October 4, and the business has leaked the design of the future flagship smartphone, which will compete with Apple's rumored iPhone 15 Pro versions and Samsung's flagship device, which is likely to debut in the coming months. The search engine giant has also unveiled the color possibilities for the incoming Pixel 8 Pro, which appears to include a SIM tray – prior rumors stated the phone would only accept eSIM.
According to images and screen recordings posted by users on X (previously known as Twitter), Google briefly showed the Pixel 8 Pro on Wednesday via the company's Pixel Phone Simulator website. The simulator, like the company's current phones, displayed a 360-degree picture of the device, showing its design and some of its characteristics, including the presence of a rumored temperature sensor.
No way. It happened AGAIN. Google themselves leaked the Pixel 8 Pro.

You can see a full 360 degree view of the phone here, confirming the colors (Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky) as well as the components (like the temperature sensor). https://t.co/xfpn4t3tyR pic.twitter.com/UzmtR7ov1L
The Pixel Phone Simulator website displayed the forthcoming Pixel 8 Pro's back camera module, which has three cameras, similar to last year's Pixel flagship – this year's model has all three cameras situated inside the same cutout on the elevated camera module.
The website, like other Pixel models previously revealed, allows visitors to choose a component of the device and study information alongside a graphic representation. We also know, according to the simulator, that the Pixel 8 Pro would accept at least one physical SIM card — an earlier story stated that the phone will only support eSIM, like Apple's iPhone 14 series handsets do in the US.
The Pixel 8 Pro will be available in three color variants, according to the now-defunct Pixel 8 Pro article on the simulator website: Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky. Meanwhile, tipster Evan Blass posted a photograph of the Pixel 8 Pro in the supposed Sky colorway, featuring the same unified back camera cutout as shown on Google's own website.

This isn't the first time Google has leaked its next device on its own; last week, it debuted the Pixel 8 Pro in a Porcelain colorway on the Google Store website in the United States. According to a recent report, Google intends to increase software support for its next generation of Pixel phones by providing up to five years of operating system upgrades. This would bring Google's OS update support window in line with Apple, which provides five OS upgrades for all of its handsets.
