Oppo A78 4G featuring Snapdragon 680 SoC and 67W SuperVOOC Charging is now available: pricing and specs

The Oppo A78 4G, the newest device in the company's A-series smartphone family, has been revealed in Indonesia. The new 4G smartphone differs significantly from its 5G version, the Oppo A78 5G, which is presently available for purchase in India. The Oppo A78 4G is powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC. The phone's display has a hole punch cutout for the front camera, and it includes a 50-megapixel dual back camera arrangement. The Oppo A78 4G comes in a single 8GB RAM/256GB storage combination, with the ability to "expand" the RAM up to 16GB using unused internal storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 67W SuperVOOC rapid charging.

Pricing of the Oppo A78 4G

The Oppo A78 4G costs IDR 35,99,000 (about Rs. 20,000) for the single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It is presently available on the Indonesian Oppo online shop in the colours Black Mist and Sea Green (translated from Indonesian).

Customers who purchase the Oppo A78 4G will receive a complimentary set of the company's Oppo Enco Buds 2 headphones in White. The global availability and pricing of the new Oppo A78 4G are yet to be announced.

To remember, the 5G model of the Oppo A78 was released in India in January for Rs. 18,999.

Specs for the Oppo A78 4G

The dual SIM (Nano) Oppo A78 4G runs Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 and has a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, with a pixel density of 409ppi, a peak brightness of 430 nits, and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, an Adreno 610 GPU, and 8GB of RAM. As previously stated, the available RAM may be practically enlarged up to 16GB by using unused storage.

The Oppo A78 4G comes with a dual rear camera set that includes a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. An 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies and video calls. The phone has 256GB of storage.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm audio connector, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity choices on the Oppo A78 4G. An accelerometer, geomagnetic sensor, gravity sensor, gyroscope, in-display optical sensor, and proximity sensor are among the sensors aboard.
