Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to have larger batteries featuring up to 120 watts of fast charging capability

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to be released in November. Although the projected debut is still several months away, information on the batteries and charging speeds of the two phones has leaked online. In comparison to the Xiaomi 13 series, the new phones are believed to have larger batteries and quicker charging. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC is likely to power the forthcoming Xiaomi flagships. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are slated to supersede this year's Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 models.

On Weibo, Chinese Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) revealed information on the chipsets, batteries, and charging rates of the rumoured Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. He believes that the Xiaomi 14 will include a 4,860mAh battery, as well as compatibility for 90W rapid wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is claimed to include a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capability.

The fresh leak implies that the Xiaomi 14 series will have larger batteries and faster charging speeds than its predecessors, the Xiaomi 13 series. The standard Xiaomi 13 features a 4,500mAh battery that supports 67W charging, whilst the Pro variant has a 4,820mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. Both versions allow wireless charging at 50W.

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are slated to become available in November. The devices are believed to be powered by Qualcomm's next-generation flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The future smartphones are believed to support periscope zoom. The periscope telephoto camera on the Xiaomi 14 might have a 5x optical zoom and a 115mm focal length. The standard Xiaomi 14 is said to have a periscope telephoto camera with 3.9x optical zoom and a focal length of 90mm.

The Xiaomi 13 was released in February for EUR 999 (about Rs. 87,600), while the Xiaomi 13 Pro costs EUR 1299 (approximately Rs. 1,13,900). Xiaomi launched the premium Xiaomi 13 Pro to India a few months ago for Rs. 79,999 for the single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version, however the Xiaomi 13 never came.
