The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is set to take place in the final week of July, and the South Korean company has officially confirmed the date. Along with the Galaxy Tab S9 series, the firm is likely to unveil its newest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Meanwhile, new accessories like as the Galaxy Watch 6 series and the Galaxy Buds 3 TWS headphones are scheduled to be unveiled. In contrast to past Galaxy Unpacked events conducted in Europe and the United States, Samsung will hold the next Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea.
Samsung announced the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26 in Seoul in a press statement on Thursday. The event will commence at 4:30pm IST and will be live broadcast on the company's website and YouTube page. This will be Samsung's second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, after the February debut of the company's premium Galaxy S23 series of smartphones.
The advertising materials for Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event tease the release of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is likely to emerge as the successor to last year's Galaxy Z Flip 4. Above wording that reads "Join the flip side" is a silhouette of a clamshell-style folding phone. This year, Samsung's new Galaxy Flip 5 is expected to have a substantially bigger cover display, competing with Motorola's recently introduced Razr 40 Ultra.
However, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is not the only item rumoured to be unveiled during Samsung's upcoming Unpacked presentation. The bigger Galaxy Fold 5, which is likely to retain a familiar design with a redesigned hinge, will also be released by the business. The company is also anticipated to reveal the next-generation Galaxy Tab S9 series, with specifications and colour possibilities recently leaked online.
Aside from the foldable phones and tablets, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Unpacked presentation. Both smartwatches' battery capacities were recently revealed, and they are reported to have bigger screens than their predecessors.
The Galaxy Watch 6 series is believed to be powered by Samsung's Exynos W930 processor and to provide abnormal heart rhythm notifications. Aside from these products, the Galaxy Buds 3 TWS earbuds are scheduled to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event later this month.
