The Red Magic 8S Pro will be available in China on July 5. The Red Magic 7S Pro, which was introduced in July 2022, is scheduled to be replaced by the phone. The previous phone used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging capabilities. The Red Magic 8 Pro was also released in January of last year, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU and a 6,000mAh battery. On Tuesday, the firm also revealed the RAM and processor specifications for the forthcoming Red Magic 8S Pro.
The Red Magic 8S Pro will be launched on July 5, according to Red Magic's official Weibo page. The business has revealed on Twitter that the phone would be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version SoC. In a separate article, the business announced that the phone will have a massive 24GB of RAM, excluding virtual RAM.
According to a recent source, top smartphone manufacturers such as Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme are developing devices with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro with 24GB RAM is also expected to be released in July or August.
According to FoneArena, the Red Magic 8S Pro will be released with 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. Notably, the Red Magic 8 Pro is already available in a 16GB + 1TB configuration. The phone will be equipped with a 6.8-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Red Magic 8S Pro's triple rear camera unit is said to have a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro camera lens. The front camera is believed to include a 16-megapixel sensor situated beneath the display.
At launch, the Obsidian edition of the Nubia Red Magic 7S Pro with 12GB + 256GB was priced at $729 (approximately Rs. 59,000). Meanwhile, the Mercury and Supernova models with 8GB + 512GB storage were priced at $899 (approximately Rs. 72,000).
